Is Huppla available to download yet?
Yes. Huppla is in the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and it is free to download. The app currently sits at no. 2 in the Photo & Video category.
Which devices does Huppla work on?
Huppla is an app for iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS). There is no Android version for now.
Could Huppla delete my photos by accident?
No. Huppla never removes anything without you seeing it and confirming it first. First your swipe decision, then the archive check, and after that the photos stay in "Recently Deleted" for 30 days. Three locks on the door.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Huppla works entirely on your own device. Your photos never leave your phone, unless you choose to share one yourself through WhatsApp, email or something else.
Does Huppla cost money?
Huppla is free to use. To get started you receive a generous batch of photos as a gift, and after that you keep tidying up a little each day. And never any ads.
Are there any ads?
No, never. Huppla does not show ads.
When does the storage space really free up?
Only once the photos have left "Recently Deleted", so after 30 days. Want the space back sooner? Open the Photos app, go to "Recently Deleted" and choose "Delete All".
When do the photos disappear on my other devices (iPad or Mac) too?
Do you use iCloud Photos? Then tidied-up photos only disappear on your other devices once they are permanently gone from "Recently Deleted". That happens by itself after 30 days. Want it right away? Open the Photos app, go to "Recently Deleted" and choose "Delete All". Careful: that is permanent.
Why does a converted photo seem to sit at the end of my library?
When Huppla turns a Live Photo into a regular photo, your iPhone creates a new file for it. Huppla immediately gives that new file everything from the original: the capture date, the location, favorites and albums. Nothing is lost. If the photo still seems to jump to the end, your Photos app is sorting by "Recently Added". Open Photos, tap the button with the lines at the top of your library (next to "Select") and choose "Sort by Date Captured". Everything falls back into place. Not sure? Open the photo and look at the date above it: that is simply the day you took it.
